I am an Italian adoptive mother of
two (one son, one daughter) from Russia. I am a writer and
a professional about adoption, especially international adoption.
I leave in Prato and work, as an expert, in Florence for a
Center of Studies of the Italian government.
My last work was a guide about the
new Italian law on adoption, and a book for children "Sasha
and other friends", stories of international adoption. I work
also for some agencies of adoption, to prepare and sustain
prospective parents.
And I work in Milan, Rome, and other
cities in projects of local administration to help adopted
children coming from other countries.
I work for a new and more complete
understanding about adoption in my country, where adoptee's
needs are not yet considered like specific issues, and birthmothers
are looked as ghost… and we have to change that.
